Together for Mental Health

We are facing a global mental health crisis. It is estimated that 1 in 8 people worldwide lives with a mental disorder, often exacerbated by loneliness and social inequalities. In the Lazio region, in 2020, the average number of people assisted by Mental Health Departments was 10.6 per 1,000 inhabitants.
The Di Liegro Foundation is dedicated to supporting people facing mental health challenges and their families, with a focus on the person in their full humanity.
To achieve its mission, the Foundation collaborates with public and private institutions in the implementation of projects and research aimed at promoting psychosocial well-being, preventing mental distress, and spreading the culture and knowledge of mental health.

What you can do

The activities and initiatives of the Foundation are also carried out thanks to the fundamental contribution of volunteers, women and men of all ages, united by the desire to act and to help remove situations of social distress and by the wish to devote their time to serving the most vulnerable and marginalized people. But this alone is not enough. Our commitment to promoting psychosocial well-being and fighting against stigma and prejudice requires a broader synergy of efforts. There are several ways through which you can contribute to our cause. Find out how:
The idea of solidarity that inspires the volunteer is not based on naive altruism but arises instead from civil and religious values, and from the analysis of social complexity, the damage caused by a disordered and unequal social system, the cultural and moral degradation caused by the application of the law of the strongest, and the lack of collective ethics.
